The design for Beam Park is a rich and varied townscape, a place where character areas sit alongside each other, and where streets, square, buildings, landmarks and open spaces blend together to create a wonderful streetscape and public realm. It is the quality of townscape that defines London as a world-class city – and it is that calibre of townscape design that is being brought to Beam Park. Not just a walkable neighbourhood, but one that is a delight to walk in – a place where residents do not have to rely on a car yet are still remarkable well-connected in this new and exciting quarter for a unique city.
Architectural practices PTE, Patel Taylor and BPTW have all played crucial roles in the design and planning of Beam Park. PTE specialise in the creation of new neighbourhoods and have won over 200 awards including AJ Sustainable Practice of the Year in 2018. Patel Taylor has gained impressive reputation transforming buildings and places working on several major projects in the capital from the Olympic Athletes Village to the London Dock. BPTW are an award-winning firm who are passionate about creating places that transformpeoples lives. They have a strong track record in innovative residential design, neighbourhood place-making and mixed-use development projects.
