Thank you to all those who attended one of our two consultation events on phase two of the proposals for Beam Park.
Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) will be delivering a Ford Factory themed event on Saturday 30th September between 1pm and 4pm. The event is for all Beam Park residents and the local community of all ages!
The event comprises of three different activities, and residents will be able to engage in all or specific activities as they choose.
Activities include:
(1) making a card game based on Ford cars;
(2) a craftsperson vs the assembly line car-making competition; and
(3) an exploration of immigration and exportation associated with the Ford Factory.
Through these activities, participants will learn about the social history and impact of the Ford Plant, connecting them with the history of their new home. They will also underscore the diversity of people who have worked on the Ford site, and we hope that the factory’s impact global impact will inspire pride in local residents. The interactive nature of the activities is also intended to create opportunities for residents to socialise and meet new neighbours.
Find us in the vacant unit under Canton House, located between the new Sainsburys and the Multi Use Games Area.
All children under 16 must be supervised by a parent/guardian during the session.
We look forward to seeing you there!
