Thank you to all those who attended one of our two consultation events on phase two of the proposals for Beam Park.
On Saturday 19th August L&Q partnered up with Countryside Partnerships to unveil Beam Park’s Multi Use Games Area (MUGA). The event took place between 12pm and 5pm and was a great success. The sun was out and residents from across the development and local community came along to join.
Local sports coaches from Dagenham United football team were present to open the area and host games of football, basketball, and table tennis for the residents of Beam Park and the wider community.
The opening event involved a wide range of activities for the community to take part in. This included face painting, giant board games of Jenga, noughts and crosses and Connect 4. There was also free ice cream and stone baked pizzas.
Over 100 residents including children attended the event where they also had the opportunity to speak to representatives from the Beam Park partnership, L&Q and Countryside Properties. Labour Councillor Matthew Stanton was also in attendance.
Residents thoroughly enjoyed the day taking part in the activities and meeting with their ‘neighbours’.
The opening of the MUGA is a major milestone within the development offering health and well-being amenities to the local community.
If you've not yet been to the MUGA please do go along and check it out!
